Adult Mental Health First Aid is a public education program that introduces the risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, builds understanding of their impact, and overviews appropriate supports. With the growing need for services and resources to help those living with mental health conditions, as well as substance use and addiction, everyone can play an important role in helping those in crisis.

Event Details

This 8-hour course will use role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to offer initial help in a mental health crisis and connect people to the appropriate professional, peer, social and self-help care.

Lunch will be provided, as well as breaks through the day.

Who Should Attend

All Extension employees are encouraged to consider taking Mental Health First Aid.  You can be part of Extension's commitment to improving the health and well-being of our communities and our organization.
