Andrew Sandeen

Andrew is an Extension Educator based in the southwest corner of Pennsylvania and focused primarily on dairy production. He holds two degrees in Animal Science, having completed a B.S. at Oregon State University and an M.S. at The Ohio State University.

Andrew has particular interest and experience in the area of bovine reproductive physiology and management, which was the subject of his graduate work and previous employment with an embryo transfer business. He also brings unique perspectives from working specifically with the Jersey breed of cattle, representing dairy producers at the state level in Washington State, and living in East Africa for four years prior to joining the Penn State Extension team.

Additional responsibilities and activities Andrew is involved in are related to dairy business management, risk management programs, and agriculture education for the public. He serves on a variety of profit teams and planning committees.
