The Southwest Pennsylvania Regional Dairy Day is an annual event organized by agribusiness sponsors to provide useful educational content for those involved with dairy production in Pennsylvania.
The 2022 program will feature Dr. Ernest Hovingh and Joe Lawrence. Dr. Hovingh is a Penn State Extension veterinarian. He regularly engages in research, troubleshooting, and education on topics related to milk quality and animal health. Joe Lawrence is a Dairy Forage Systems Specialist on the PRO-DAIRY team at Cornell University. He has extensive experience with corn hybrid trials and various educational efforts specific to forage management for dairies in New York. The event will also include a trade show, with specific time set aside for interaction with exhibitors.
This event is provided free of charge for dairy producers because of generous sponsorship from local agribusinesses.
