Educator Joins Penn State Extension Horticulture Team

Margaret’s work supports members of the commercial horticulture industry in Bucks County and greater southeastern Pennsylvania through education, outreach, and consultation. As the newest member of the statewide green industry team, she teaches topics in invasive plant identification and management, pesticide safety, and management of ornamental landscapes. Margaret also has experience in organic farming systems, cut flower production, and small grains.
Margaret holds a B.A. in Geology from Bates College and an M.S. in Plant, Soil, and Environmental Sciences from the University of Maine. Prior to joining Penn State Extension, she served as County Horticulturist for Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Mercer County in New Jersey, where she oversaw the county’s Master Gardener program and provided education on consumer horticulture topics for the public.
