Module 1: Improving Morale by Managing Conflict 

Although conflict in the workplace in inevitable, it can be both positive and negative for a business. By developing effective conflict management skills, leaders can help to minimize the lingering effects of conflict while maintaining a workplace that encourages high standards of performance.

To be covered: Learn how to identify sources of conflict and use the conflict management process to effectively address conflict with fewer negative outcomes.

What you will learn:

  • How conflict impacts individuals and the work environment
  • To identify causes of conflict
  • To identify your conflict style
  • When to use each conflict style
  • To identify the steps in the conflict management process

Module 2: Managing for Trust and Improved Collaboration

This interactive workshop is designed to provide an opportunity for participants to embrace collaborative work utilizing best practices of implementing trust that positively may impact your farm business 

To be covered: How to create a culture of shared strategies and assimilating a culture of implementing trust

What you will learn:

  • Trust-busting communication
  • Develop skills that help to build a trust
  • Understand trustworthiness
  • Receive tips for how to use components of trustworthiness
  • Learn how to improve trust-based collaboration using strategic thinking

Module 3: Introduction to Mindfulness 

This training workshop is designed to give participants an opportunity to consider how stress may be impacting their work and relationships as agriculturalists.  Participants will be able to learn about and test out mindfulness as a tool for improving the well-being of themselves, their relationships, and their businesses.

To be covered: Using mindfulness as a tool to manage farm and work-related challenges and stress

What you will learn:

  • Describe how stress can impact farm and work life
  • Describe mindfulness
  • Learn the benefits of practicing mindfulness
  • Explore available resources on mindfulness
  • Discover a favorite mindful practice
  • Describe how mindfulness can help you maintain well-being in all aspects (i.e., personal, relationship, and work)

What to Bring: Participants will be provided workshop training materials. A positive, non-judgmental attitude is also welcome.
