Garden Hotline Live Returns!
The Penn State Master Gardener Program will kick off their 2022 "Garden Hotline Live!" schedule on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Now in its third year, this free public series will continue to collect and answer questions submitted by gardeners from all across Pennsylvania.
"We love offering this program and are so excited to continue it in 2022. Garden Hotline Live! is all about learning from others. As gardeners, it’s fun to share success stories and Instagram-perfect pictures of tomatoes, but in reality, we learn the most from mistakes and failed experiments," says series organizer and Area Master Gardener Coordinator Erin Kinley. "Garden Hotline Live! celebrates the learning experience in every blighted flower and wilted zucchini plant."
Webinars are free and open to the public, with close-captioned recordings posted on the Extension website for those who can’t make it to the live event. Similar to previous years, the program will collect questions in advance from their online submission form as well as from the Penn State Master Gardener Facebook Group. Questions are assigned to a panel of expert Master Gardener Coordinators and Master Gardeners, who carefully research each question and present their responses illustrated with photo-filled PowerPoint slides during the live webinars.
This year’s webinars will follow a seasonal schedule and theme:
- Friday, March 11, 2022, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Spring Problems, Spring Solutions
- Friday, June 10, 2022, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Solving Summer Bummers
