Holly began working with Extension in October 2019 to launch the Master Watershed Steward Program in Cumberland County.  She holds a bachelor's degree in science education and a master's degree in geoenvironmental studies from Shippensburg University.

Prior to joining Extension, Holly worked for 16 years as an environmental educator and program coordinator with Audubon Pennsylvania. Her most recent work with Audubon involved developing and leading a stream ecology field program with Carlisle Area School District, which included developing curriculum, training volunteers, and organizing field experiences for approximately 1,000 2nd, 5th, and 7th grade students each year.

Holly has extensive experience collaborating with community partners, combining strengths, resources and expertise to maximize project success.  Her time managing Waggoner's Gap Hawkwatch for Audubon Pa offered her experience in balancing the needs of various entities along with oversight of a remote and rugged site.  Holly recognizes and supports of the value and credibility of community science having been involved with data collection efforts related to the hawk watch, as well as mapping invasive species, identifying birding hot spots, and monitoring water quality.

Holly is currently on the board of Capital Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Area Council, and is a former board member of the Conodoguinet Creek Watershed Association and LeTort Regional Authority. She supports farm-to-table initiatives and has served on the Carlisle Area School District Wellness Council.  She holds membership with Pa Association of Environmental Educators (PAEE), Pa Chapter of Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals (Pa ANREP), Society of Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP), and American Association of University Women (AAUW).  She and her husband and 2 sons live in Carlisle, Pa and enjoy outdoors adventures and all kinds of water play.
