NSF Grant to Study Economic Mechanisms for Grid Resilience
Researchers from Penn State and the University of Washington were awarded a $750,000 grant to look at the need for infrastructure resilience.

Our society has become dependent on operating infrastructure for power; however, natural disasters can wreak havoc on operations running smoothly. The National Science Foundation has awarded a grant to Penn State and the University of Washington to study the economic mechanisms that can enhance infrastructure resilience against such disasters.
