PA ANREP Explores Kalamazoo

The National Association of Natural Resources Extension Professionals held their bi-annual conference in Kalamazoo, Michigan from June 1st – June 3rd. Extension Educators from all over the country attended the networking and professional development event in Michigan, including five members of the PA ANREP Chapter. Members of the PA Chapter in attendance were Andy Yencha (President), Brad Kunsman (President-Elect), Justin Mansberger (Secretary), Jenn Fetter (Treasurer), and Susan Boser.
The biannual conference focuses on providing professional development opportunities, educational presentations, and networking events for meeting fellow extension professionals. Several Penn State Water Team Educators participated in a Stormwater Green Infrastructure Walking Tour around Kalamazoo that highlighted some of their stormwater best management practices including green roofs, permeable paving, rain gardens, and even a green wall. In addition, Penn State Extension Water Educators at the conference presented on the Backyard Stream Repair Series and shared the success of the program with other educators.
The 2022 ANREP Conference concluded by announcing the location of the 2024 conference, which is being held in Hershey, PA.
