Join us for Peach Rootstock Trial: Eastern Field Meeting! This evening workshop will allow growers in eastern Pennsylvania to examine the size-controlling peach rootstocks planted at Linvilla Orchards. These rootstocks are part of a multi-year trial with over a dozen sites around the state of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Jim Schupp, lead researcher on this project, will lead discussion during this orchard visit and answer questions pertaining to the research.
About the Series
The Penn State Peach Rootstock Trials seek to evaluate four new potentially dwarfing rootstocks under Pennsylvania growing conditions. Characteristics of interest for these rootstocks include their degree of dwarfing, precocity, environmental tolerance, and other factors important to peach producers.
This event is being offered at no charge to participants.
