Penn State Dairy Cattle Nutrition Workshop Is Packed with Information
The Penn State Dairy Cattle Nutrition Workshop has a long-standing history of excellence for keynote speaker presentations, interactive breakout discussions, and tradeshow and networking opportunities. This year's conference will be held November 2-3 at the Hershey Lodge, 325 University Drive, Hershey, Pennsylvania 17033.
With the publication of the long awaited 2021 National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's (NASEM) "Nutrient Requirements of Dairy Cattle," this year's conference is an opportunity to interact with key experts about their interpretations for the field from this publication. In the general session, Dr. Paul Kononoff, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will cover intake and applied energetics; Pat Hoffman, University of Wisconsin-Madison, will cover carbohydrates; Dr. Peter Yoder, Perdue Agribusiness, will cover proteins; and Dr. Jud Heinrichs, Penn State Professor Emeritus, will cover calves and heifers. Several break-out speakers will also use the NASEM book to launch their discussions about key items of interest to nutritionists in the field.
With more than 40 trade show participants, nearly 30 breakout sessions and a  happy hour and hors d'oeuvres networking reception sponsored by Alltech, this conference is packed with learning and networking opportunities. Bookending the conference is a pre-conference symposium sponsored by Micronutrients focused on "Improving rumen digestion and fermentation" and a post conference symposium sponsored by Pioneer® , about getting the most out of feeding high oleic soybeans and new discoveries in corn starch and fiber digestion. In addition, ARPAS members are invited to participate in the Northeast chapter meeting on Wednesday with a special presentation.
Penn State Dairy Cattle Nutrition Workshop provides unique opportunities for building new skills and being able to utilize the forefront nutritional information for the dairy industry. Register today.
