Pruning for Professionals is designed to teach the fundamentals of pruning shrubs and small trees in the landscape. Participants will learn pruning theory, terminology, and plant biological response in the morning. The classroom session is followed by a hands-on session outdoors in the afternoon where pruning theory will be applied in the field.
Credits Available
This program qualifies for Continuing Education Units:
- For certified arborists from the International Society of Arboriculture
- For Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturists (5 CEUs)
- From the American Society of Landscape Architects
Additional Details
The program will be held rain or shine! Dress for the weather, as part of the class is held outdoors.Â
Different pruning techniques will be defined and discussed. Participants are asked to bring along pruning tools.
Registration includes lunch and two pruning reference books.
