Research to Study Subsurface Stress in Hydrocarbon Reservoirs

Penn State assistant professor of petroleum and natural gas engineering, Amin Mehrabian, was recently awarded a grant from the American Chemical Society's Petroleum Research Fund to study how oil and gas extraction affects the earth's subsurface stress.
