Pesticide Points Offered at Keystone Farm Show

Add agronomic "2+2" meetings to your Keystone Farm Show to-do list.

December 13, 2021

The Keystone Farm Show will take place Tuesday, January 4, through Thursday, January 6, 2022. Held in York, PA, the Keystone draws upwards of 10,000 farmers from around the region every year, who come to check out hundreds of commercial farm equipment, product, and service providers. This is a reminder that attendees can add pesticide points to the list of things they can do at the Keystone.

Penn State Extension Agronomy Educators will once again offer Agronomic Pesticide Update 2+2 meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday of the event. Meetings will take place in Seminar room 2 of the Weis Market’s Arena (formerly Utz Arena) from 10:00am-12:00pm both days. To find Seminar room 2, from the main entrance, turn right and go the whole way down the corridor; seminar room 2 will be on the left side at the end of the hall. Registration is not required, but attendees must stay for the entire 2-hour session to receive points.

Agendas for each day include 2 core and 2 category PC, 01, and 18 points:

Tuesday, January 4

  • Pesticide Misapplications & Why They Fail – Dwane Miller
  • How to Avoid Pesticide Mixing Disasters – Andrew Frankenfield
  • Agronomic Diseases of 2021 – Jeff Graybill
  • Problem Weed Identification – Liz Bosak

Wednesday, January 5

  • Risk Communication – Leon Ressler
  • Nematodes – Del Voight
